COURSE SPECIFIC INFORMATION
Note the following information about courses as you search and plan your registration.
Instructor Consent/Permission
Some GTU and other GTU member schools require instructor consent/permission to be in the class. To determine if a course needs instructor permission, check the course description in the MyCLU listing.
You can find information about the instructor and their center/school at the GTU online course list. Check the website of the center/school for the instructor’s email. You need to email the instructor for consent/permission. Please proceed with registering in the class in MyCLU while you seek instructor consent/permission—this will initiate the behind-the-scenes cross-registration process so the instructor can see your registration in Moodle and will let you know if you are in the course by responding to your email. If you do not receive permission to be in the course, the instructor will drop you from the course in Moodle and this will update the drop in MyCLU after 24 hours.
Contextual Education Courses
You must register all contextual education courses you are planning to do in Fall or Intersession, including but not limited to, FE-1220 Teaching Parish, FE-4050 Internship, and any other contextual education course you are taking. Please consult with Dr Veen if you have questions.
Evangelism & Justice Concentration Courses/Requirements
You need to register for E&J courses and requirements. Two courses are being offered in January Term [Intersession] 2019. See Intensive Courses Scheduling Information below.
In addition, you must take a total of 6 salons over the course of your program. To improve program evaluation, you should register for generic salon courses for each semester. If you plan on taking more than one in a semester, register for a section for each salon.
RSFT-9105-01 Salon Conversation
RSFT-9105-02 Salon Conversation
RSFT-9105-03 Salon Conversation
Please consult with Dr Veen if you have questions re: this, including the speakers/subjects of salons for Fall Semester 2018 and their times/dates and locations.
Substitutions and Completions
Substitutions: If you are taking a course that substitutes for a required core course, please complete
the Substitution section of the Form. You will need permission of the instructor in the subject area for substitutions.
The exception to this are the automatic substitution of new curricular courses for
previous curricular courses. This substitution list can be found on the website. These courses are programmed to automatically fulfill the requirement in your program
evaluation.
Completions: If you are taking a course that completes a requirement [World Religions, Systematics Elective, E&J course, etc.], please complete the Completion section of the Form. You will need permission of the instructor in the subject area for completions.
