Faculty Recommendation

Each student seeking roster in the ELCA is interviewed by a PLTS faculty panel as part of the approval process.  The panel includes the student's advisor and at least one other appointed faculty member.  The panel assesses the student's academic and theological competence, call to ministry and ministry gifts, and practical readiness and leadership skills.  A summary from this interview is then written on the ELCA's Form D, which is the seminary recommendation of a student for rostered ministry to the student's synod of candidacy.

Students are responsible for scheduling their faculty panel interview in their final (internship) year following the instructions of the Associate Dean.
